The purpose of this research is to analyze banking health level, to analyze public banking map in Indonesia and their readiness to apply the Indonesian Banking Architecture. Data were collected from 25 annual reports of public banking in Indonesia for 2005. CAMEL method and Biplot analysis are used for data analysis. The result shows that 21 of all samples are in healthy bank category, three banks are in sufficiently and one bank is less healthy bank category. Biplot analysis showed that ROA has a positive correlation with LDR or CAR and NPL has a positive correlation with BDR or CAD. Negative correlation is showed by the correlation between ROA and NPL, BDR, or CAD and also between LDR or CAR and NCM or BOPO. Most banks have the same characteristic of financial ratio, except for BNI, Bank Ekspor Indonesia, and Bank Eksekutif Internasional. Generally, public banking in Indonesia are ready to apply the Indonesian Banking Architecture, especially the implementation of the first principal about minimum accomplishment and CAR of 8%. BASEL II can be implemented gradually from 2005 until 2012.
